Automobile liability insurance in the Virgin Islands is compulsory and required by law with the following minimum limits:

Personal – 10/20/10
10,000 – per person
20,000 – per accident
10,000 – property damage

Commercial – 10/25/10
10,000 – per person
25,000 – per accident
10,000 – property damage

Medical Payments – Covers you for the medical expenses related to injuries sustained in your car during an auto accident.

Comprehensive Physical Damage Insurance – Covers you for damages to your vehicle due to windstorm, flood, fire, theft, impact with a bird or animal, or other covered perils.

Collision Insurance – Covers you for damages to your vehicle when it collides with another object, such as a car, truck, or tree.

Uninsured Motorist Protection – Protects you for bodily injury you sustain in an auto accident due to the negligence of an uninsured driver.

Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) – Provides indemnification to the insured for the loss of life, eyes or limbs.
